The Ratty Racers

This is a spread from "The Ratty Racers", which is going to Bologna book fair with Frances. I am working on the dummy book at the moment, and really enjoying my creative freedom.

I hope by writing the story as well as illustrating it, will allow for a little more of this. I begin my long awaited silk screen course in a month, so hope soon to have some original prints in my blog in the not so distant future.

Moon Stuck

This is a spread from a book idea I'm working on, Lion and Dog go on a fabulous adventure, ultimately landing on the moon, quite how they get back down, is yet unresolved, so is still a work in progress!

Song for a Princess

This is the last spread of one of my most recent books. It was originally called, the Bird who Loved Words, but is now called Song for a Princess... Due to be published by Chicken House shortly. It was the first job I took on after the birth of my second son, and a lovely book to work on, reflecting the seasons, and containing many of the birds we have in our garden. It felt all very beautiful and close to nature which went hand in hand with my fluffy new baby frame of mind!  Maddy McClellan
