I have drawn two designs for a card which I'm doing for The Pink Place in Basingstoke. This is a charity which offers free support,information and complementary therapies to people who have or have had breast cancer in this area & is supported by the breast unit at Basingstoke and North Hampshire hospital http://www.thepinkplace.org.uk/
I decided on the pink hearts rather than the ribbon tree as I feel it's a cleaner, simpler image. There is the dilemma of straying away from the pink ribbon image which seems to be a universal symbol but hearts mean love and compassion and care to me. I had breast cancer two years ago and was looked after really well by this hospital and would like to do something in return. It's at the printers now,so fingers crossed !
