I have been unable to do a post for a while now because everything I have been working on is not for public consumption, yet. Very frustrating.
So, instead, here is something from the archives.
A few years ago I did some concept work on a movie that was never made (this is pretty much the definition of almost every movie). It was a sort of ‘Matrix/psychological thriller’ type thing and I probably still can't tell you anything about it, including the title, since the producer/writer may still be touting it around Hollywood for all I know.
However, here is some of the concept art that I did. It's a mixed bag. Some rough, some more finished. Some of it is comped together photographs which were then painted over in photo shop. Some is drawn from scratch – more like very early production designs. The purpose of it was to convince the money to go to the next level.
Obviously it didn't work.
I've done some more of this stuff (always for films that never get made). It's quite fun to do, though I enjoy storyboarding more.
Anyway, back to work.
