One of my recent kind dog ventures has been custom making birthday cards - my oldest subject being 100 years old and the youngest 2.
I fell into it accidentally, having posted birthday card samples I'd done a few years ago on my
kind dog Facebook page (these were for submission to card companies - all of whom rejected me - even Phoenix cards turned me down). Putting them on Facebook led to lots of requests. They are fun to do though I am very bad at cutting the watercolour paper neatly and in a straight line. It isn't going to make me much money as I suspect the time and effort far exceeds the money I ask but I think just the act of making, drawing and thinking can lead to inspiration and ideas for other, possibly more lucrative projects.
