This is a new venture for us all and it’s going to be a venue for us to talk about and show you new ideas. FMI has been going for ten years now and I want this to celebrate what we have done and all the new and amazing work we have coming up, next week, next month and next year.
My illustrators have written and illustrated a great range of books and they all should be very proud of their track record. Great children’s books published not just in the UK, but across the world touching children’s lives with humour and magic, or is that too corny to be true? Maybe? But it is absolutely true!
Oh Damn, start again, but whatever, I am really proud of all of my illustrators/writers and what they have achieved and what they are going to do next.
We have as a group worked for most of the major and smaller publishing companies in London/UK and books have sold directly or co-editioned across the world. Some illustrators have editorial work published and others have ranges of their greetings cards and gift items sold widely.
Several of the group are also fine artists and I hope that over the next few weeks you’ll be able to see examples of all the range of work they have produced.
In the book market as a group we have; written and illustrated children’s fiction series, novelty and pop-up books, picture books, educational books, poetry collection and anthologies, fairy stories and some non-fiction, jackets and front covers for a huge number of titles.
