Its here, my first book is finally here in print. It arrived on the snowiest day just before Christmas, so at least it got here unlike much christmas mail!
Gilbert the Gander is a charming story by Frances, about a bad tempered goose who is never keen on anyone passing his boat or playing on his beach, not until the day when a lady goose changes his mood and his outlook on life altogether! It has just been released by Nord Sued, (North South Books,) and has a double page spread in their latest catalogue, celebrating their 50th anniversary too! The online catalogue can be seen at www.nord-sued.com. So far it has been published in both German and Dutch, and eventually in French and English too.
To say that I am thrilled is an understatement. Nord Sued have been really great to work with, a very friendly and helpful team indeed. I am currently working on a new book idea for them, which is still in its early stages, and still to be confirmed, so fingers crosse! This too is about a feathered friend of ours, but this time in the form of a Proud Mother Hen, who is desperately looking for the perfect place to lay her most treasured egg, only to find out that the perfect place is much closer by than she realises.
